We run a happy and friendly care home at Northmore, setting out to meet every one of our resident’s needs and provide a comfortable and modern environment to live in.
It can be a stressful time moving out of your own home and into a care environment, so we’ve tried to make our home as comfortable and modern as possible for everyone. Individuality is encouraged here and we like everyone to personalise their own rooms, creating a space they feel at home in and surrounded by things that remind them of family, friends and fun times gone by; even items of furniture are very welcome. We also work to understand individual cultures and religious beliefs; creating time for prayers or special ceremonies, and religious ministers are always welcome to visit.
The house itself is kept clean and tidy by the care team and provides a range of facilities for clients to pass the time or enjoy hobbies;

Smoking is allowed in designated areas and of course there are toilets in close vicinity to communal areas and bedrooms for quick access. Individual dietary requirements are always catered for taking into account individual beliefs and choices such as vegetarianism or religious beliefs; your key care worker will always ensure they’re aware of your wishes and that those are clearly communicated to the rest of the team.
We try to make the community here feel as much like a family as possible, but visitors are always very welcome; our residents get a real sense of support, love and simply being wanted so we have open doors from 8am to 8pm every day and can make appointments for other times.
Great care comes from understanding, and all our team undergo advanced training to learn about individuals within the home and the conditions and illnesses that affect them. We treat everyone like an individual with unique likes and dislikes, taking pride in being a small, family run care home that offers a truly personalised service.
