We ensure that personalised and highest quality care services are maintained through a key worker system.
An essential part of our aim to provide truly one to one care, tailored to each individual’s needs, key workers are chosen by the client and become entirely responsible for ensuring all needs and requirements are met. The system is supported by senior management who carry out regular appraisals and checks at least once a month to ensure our residents and staff have everything they need.
Typical basic needs that key workers become responsible for include;
- Creation of a personal care plan for the resident
- Keeping client rooms clean and tidy
- Ensuring clothing is marked and doesn’t go missing
- Bathing if required and adequate supply of toiletries
- Helping groom fingernails, hair, shaving and general appearance
- Knowing their client’s likes, dislikes, allergies and hobbies
- Ensuring all dietary needs are met
- Providing activities during the day
- Monitoring health, well being and other requirements
- Communicating with outside professionals working for the client
- Attending reviews and appraisals with senior staff, clients and relatives
Key workers ensure that every client has a trusted individual of their choice that they can get to know and trust very well, and that understands their needs in return. They provide a crucial link between residents and home management making sure all personal, social, religious, cultural and medical needs are provided for at all times.
