Based in Gillingham in Kent we provide expert care for the elderly, frail, disabled and those suffering from the effects of dementia.

Established in 1998 as a family run home we’ve always worked to provide the highest possible standards of care. We’re proud to be one of the few independently run care homes left in the area who still focus on one to one care that is truly personalised and treats everyone as an individual rather than a generic client on a list.Northmore Care Home, Gillingham

As a registered EMI Dementia care home we employ a highly experienced staff who receive advanced training to understand a range of illnesses and the effects they have on people’s well being. Every resident gets to choose their own personal key worker who will get to know all about their personal needs, likes, dislikes and beliefs, and ensure that they are all catered for. We encourage a family home feel throughout the service, an open door policy welcomes family and friends visiting and our team working hard to integrate everyone together and provide activities which stimulate and challenge minds and abilities.

Maintaining these high standards is a challenge we meet with regular reviews and staff appraisals which clients are often invited to participate in, and we also provide Quality Assurance Questionairres to clients and their families so we can get a clear opinion on how well we are meeting needs and expectations; the feedback can also be viewed by prospective clients. These measures have maintained our position as effective specialist carers and brought us consistently strong inspection reports which are always on show in the main hallway for anyone to read.

Regularly referred to from the local authority we are also part of the Medway Workforce Planning Partnership and members of a range of organisations including the Kent Care Home Association, Alzheimers Disease Society, Stroke Association and the Parkinson’s Disease Society. This helps us ensure we stay on top of all the latest treatments, care methods and understanding of these complex and demanding conditions.

In line with the National Minimum Standards for Care Homes we have a full statement of purpose explaining how meet and often exceed the legislative requirements;
